Given the current global crisis, it’s difficult to determine an official date for new releases on our streaming services, let alone determine if any of it is actually any good. Now that we’re nestled into staying home and streaming away to our heart’s content, there’s never been a better time for some of the best content these services have to offer to come around. So, lucky for you, we’ve compiled some of the biggest and best releases yet to come to streaming services in 2020 to help you decide what needs to be ticked off the watchlist next.
The Devil All The Time
In a more serious shift from his appearances as a friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man in the MCU, Tom Holland stars in this dark psychological thriller based on the Donald Ray Pollock novel of the same name. xThe film follows a peculiar preacher (Robert Pattinson), a crooked cop (Sebastian Stan), and a suspicious couple (Riley Keough & Jason Clarke) converging on Holland’s Arvin Russell as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family.
The Devil All the Time is looking to be a suspenseful and twisting tale that proves that often the fight against evil is not all black and white.

Enola Holmes
From Fleabag and Killing Eve director Harry Bradbeer comes a new interpretation of the Sherlock Holmes mythos, this time with Holmes’ unruly teenage sister at the forefront. Netflix favourite Millie Bobby Brown takes the titular role, working to solve the disappearance of her mother (Helena Bonham Carter), using her superior intellect and sleuthing skills to unravel the mystery, all the while upstaging her brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill). The film is based on the Enola Holmes Mysteries book series by Nancy Springer, and if the cast and directing talent are anything to go by, this film should be an exciting romp around Victorian London.

Ratched
Among the slew of sequels and prequels we’ve seen over the last few years, a series to serve as a precursor to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was perhaps the most unexpected.
American Horror Story alum Sarah Paulson is Nurse Ratched in this psychological horror-drama series for Netflix, who arrives at a psychiatric hospital where new experiments are performed on the human mind, unravelling her own mental stability as she attempts to infiltrate the exploitative mental health care system.
A curious prequel, but a riveting series in its own right.

Secret Society of Second-Born Royals
The not-so-eloquently titled Disney+ exclusive, Secret Society of Second-Born Royals follows Sam, the rebellious second-in-line to the throne in the kingdom of Illyria.
Just as she begins to get bored of her royal duties, she is invited into a secret society where she discovers that she is like many other second-born royals in having superhuman abilities.
Sam and the rest of the society are tasked with mastering their abilities in time to save the world. An exciting outing that looks to offer a little more than just your standard Disney family film.
The Secret Society of Second-Born Royals is coming to Disney+ on September 25th – available on Sky Q
The Mandalorian — Season 2
The Mandalorian sees Pedro Pascal’s ‘Mando’ operate as a Mandalorian bounty hunter in a galaxy recently freed from the vice grip of the Empire. Season 1 saw the introduction of ‘baby Yoda’ – a mysterious (50-year-old) infant with force powers and possibly the most memed Star Wars character in history – as well as the return of the Dark Sabre, last seen in Star Wars Rebels. Season 2 is already promising to up the ante with fan-favourite character Ahsoka returning, played by Rosario Dawson.
The action-packed space western has proven it can balance drama and humour with an engaging story so we’re eager to see what season 2 will bring.
The Mandalorian season two is set to be released on Netflix in October – available on Sky Q
Tin Star – Season Three
The final season of the British-Canadian crime drama finally sees its release by the end of 2020, and is shaping up to be the most exciting yet. This time it will be set on UK soil as it has been officially titled Tin Star: Liverpool, and the series sees the Worth family travel back to where it all began 20 years ago.
The secrets the family harbour threaten a group of dangerous criminals in the area, goading a fearless crime boss to engage with them in a deeply personal (and hugely menacing) feud. Expect an explosive ending and a few sneaky twists along the way.
Tin Star: Liverpool is coming to Sky Atlantic this November – available on Sky Q
Billions – Season Five
The biting American drama series, Billions, returns to our screens this October, which sees the rivalry between Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) and Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) reignited, while new enemies rise and set their sights on their careers.
House of Cards’ Corey Stoll arrives as social impact pioneer Mike Prince who threatens Axelrod’s dominance, and Roma Maffia’s district attorney Mary Ann Gramm takes on Rhoades.
The first half of the fifth series aired in May, which gives you ample time to catch up on the riveting series before the other half debuts.

Two Weeks to Live
Two Weeks to Live sees misfit Kim Noakes (Maisie Williams) re-entering the real world after her mother (Sian Clifford) brings her into a remote rural life as a child following the suspicious death of her father.
When she walks into a pub owned by socially awkward Nicky, it starts a series of events that plunge their life into chaos, put their lives in peril and uproot Kim’s secret mission to honour her late father.
The series is a tale of love and revenge, told through the comic lens of disarray and danger.
Two Weeks to Live is streaming now on Sky One.
